Two fan designers team up to translate Genshin Impact’s Liyue Harbor into LEGO bricks

Two heads are better than one in the case of the latest LEGO Ideas fan-designed project to make it past 10,000 supporters.

Fan designers BrickBob_Studpants and StrongEngineer066 have joined forces to design a 2,467-piece LEGO versions of Genshin Impact: Liyue Harbor Wharf, complete with eight minifigures to populate it. That includes named characters like: Zhongli, the Geo Archon, with his Staff of Homa; Xiao, an Adeptus– with his Primordial Jade Winged-Spear; Xiangling– with everyone’s favorite Stove God, Guoba; Xingqiu– with a Guhua book in hand; and Beidou– with her Rainslasher Claymore, as well as three NPCs common to Liyue.

The main build naturally recreates the main dock, as well as fleshing out the surroundings with market stalls, a street food cart, the wharf tower and its connecting bridge, a ship and two smaller boats docked along the wharf, and water bases to support the dock pillars, tower, and boats.

Liyue is one of the original nations of Genshin Impact, an anime-stle, open-world role-playing game that features an action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching. From its release in 2020 to May 2024, the game had roughly four billion downloads, demonstrating its popularity.

It would fit in well with the LEGO Group’s ever-expanding collection of gaming-themed sets and themes, from LEGO Minecraft and Animal Crossing to the new LEGO Fortnite theme and standalone Zelda set, 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1.

Genshin Impact: Liyue Harbor Wharf becomes the 24th LEGO Ideas project to make it into the third 2024 review.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
