LEGO Formula 1 Build the Thrill live race streaming this week

A huge brick-built track will play host to an epic LEGO Formula 1 Build the Thrill race livestream this week, with dozens of cars competing for pole position.

Following the recent March 1 launch of multiple F1 sets, the LEGO Group and Formula 1 recently announced a number of upcoming racing events and experiences. As well as LEGO Fan Zones appearing at 13 key Formula 1 races across 2025, pop-up LEGO Pit Shops at 20 select races and entertainment at LEGO Stores and LEGOLAND Discovery Centres, fans can also pick up a free Racing Steering Wheel make and take this weekend.

In addition, an upcoming Build to Thrill livestream will be taking place on 1pm CET (12am GMT) on March 7, 2025, with dozens of LEGO F1 cars competing on an epic race track inspired by course ideas from Formula 1 drivers such as Oliver Bearman, Charles Leclerc and Esteban Ocon and more, and designed by kids.

The LEGO Formula 1 live event will be hosted by motorsport journalist and presenter Will Buxton, with assistance from sports commentator Alex Jacques. The race is due to be streamed on the official LEGO YouTube channel and is free for all to view.

The 16 feet tall brick-built track can be briefly glimpsed in the video above and includes a giant pink doughnut for cars to pass through, neon-lit tunnels, a flaming hoop, a huge volcano and plenty of twists, turns, jumps and drops to negotiate.

A second promotional video on the official LEGO Kids site shows the track in action, with new-for-2025 LEGO Speed Champions, City, F1 Collectible Race Cars and even DUPLO sets testing out the massive course in full.

LEGO Formula 1 fans will be able to check out all of the high-speed racing action when the Build to Thill livestream kicks off on March 7.
