Free LEGO F1 make and take coming to UK Smyths Toys stores
Racing fans in the UK will be able to pick up a free LEGO yellow mini F1 car at a Smyths Toys make and take event next weekend.
Formula 1 is gearing up for a busy month in March, with multiple events taking place around the globe. For starters, the 2025 season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 16, followed by the first F1 Sprint of the year at the Shanghai International circuit on March 22.
Not to be outdone, LEGO F1 will be keeping pace, with a number of vehicle-based builds arriving on March 1, as well as a couple of free make and take events. In addition to Smyths Toys in Germany giving away three different LEGO F1 micro models, those in the UK can also get in on the brick-built racing action.

It’s been confirmed that Smyths Toys stores in the UK and Ireland will be hosting their own promotional event on March 1 from 9am. Visitors to their local retail location can make a free yellow mini F1 car there and then to take home with them.
Unlike the companion German event, it seems that it’ll just be the one LEGO F1 freebie available in the UK and Ireland, although it’s possible that the other two micro models may pop up at different retailers at some point.
All Smyths Toys stores in both countries will be hosting the LEGO F1 make and take next weekend, with the build limited to one per person (while stocks last).
It’s worth noting that March 1 also sees the release of multiple LEGO F1 sets including 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell, 42206 Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car, 60474 F1 Grid with VCARB & Sauber Race Cars and 10 Speed Champions models.
