Free LEGO F1 micro models race into German Smyths Toys stores

Visitors to German branches of Smyths Toys next month will be able to pick up one of three free LEGO Formula 1 micro models.

The first wave of LEGO Formula 1 sets for 2025 arrived on January 1, with a second speeding into view on March 1. On that date, fans of the motorsport will be able to pick up the likes of 10353 Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell42206 Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car60474 F1 Grid with VCARB & Sauber Race Cars and 10 Speed Champions builds.

On the same day, the first 100 visitors to Smyths Toys Germany superstores will be able to grab one of three free LEGO Formula 1 micro models. The make and take event is scheduled to take place on March 1 from 11am to 5pm and includes all stores in the country, apart from the Münster branch.

LEGO F1 Smyths Toys make and take event

The description for the event states that those who make their way to their local Smyths Toys store can grab a free F1 racing car to either assemble there and then or build at home later. Note that the promotional sets are limited to one per customer, while stocks last.

The images of the LEGO Formula 1 micro models reveal that two of the tiny builds appear to be based on the Aston Martin Aramco F1 AMR24 and Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1, with the third being an unidentified car.

LEGO 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars 1024x558

The Smyths Toys micro models represent even smaller version of the real-life vehicles than 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars, due to arrive online and in stores on May 1. There’s no word at this stage regarding whether the make and take event will be coming to Smyths Toys locations in other territories, but we’ll keep you posted if that proves to be the case.

LEGO Stores in the UK, US and Europe will be hosting their own F1 make and take event next month, with a free Racing Car Steering Wheel available from participating locations.
