New rumoured prices, piece counts and release dates for LEGO Ideas 2025 sets
New rumoured prices, piece counts and release dates have surfaced for the LEGO Ideas 2025 slate, suggesting the order in which we can expect to see the sets currently in production.
A total of 11 LEGO Ideas sets are currently in production having been given the green light at the review stage or as part of a contest, two of which will be LEGO Insiders rewards and one of which will be a future gift-with-purchase. That leaves eight future sets to fill out the 2025 slate – which itself is currently rumoured to include nine more sets (following 21354 Twilight The Cullen House and 21355 The Evolution of STEM).
The maths doesn’t quite add up there at the moment, but there’s always a chance the LEGO Group is planning to fast-track a set that will be approved in the second third 2024 review. For now, Instagram user fateful_04 has shared a handful of fresh details (in their latest story) on when we can expect certain LEGO Ideas sets to arrive in 2025, how much they’ll cost and how many pieces they’ll include.
LEGO Ideas sets confirmed and rumoured for 2025

| 21358 TBC | TBC | 1,343 | TBC 2025 |
| 21359 TBC | $59.99 | 3,251 | September 2025 |
| 21360 TBC | TBC | 2,026 | December 2025 |

The new information in the table above is as follows: the release windows for 21356, 21357, 213598, 21360 and 21362; the piece counts for 21358, 21359, 21360 and 21362; and the price tag for 21362. And between all those details, we can make some educated guesses about where the current line-up of LEGO Ideas sets in production will fit into the next 10 months.

The most-recently-approved LEGO Ideas sets (that aren’t Insiders rewards) are Rob Vangansewinkel’s Minifigure Prize Machine and Aaron Hall’s Western Steamboat, which were both given the nod in May 2024. Most LEGO Ideas sets spend around 12 to 18 months in production, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see one of those taking the slot of 21356.
It’s tough to say which one, though, because 21357’s $70 price tag seems too low for either of those models – so if these rumoured details are correct, it seems unlikely we’ll be proceeding in the order in which these sets were approved. From the current list, terauma’s Gizmo model – one of two winners of the Ideas ‘80s challenge – seems like the best fit for that price point, but it would be jumping the queue slightly by launching in June.
Toby Brett’s Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. lamp was in consideration for much longer than other Ideas sets, with the review board delaying its decision beyond the initial review for which it qualified, so there’s a good chance that one could be ready to go earlier than expected too, but it’s difficult to see it stretching to $70 even with the Disney tax. $60 would be slightly more reasonable, so that one could well be 21362.

The three sets that we have piece counts for on this list vary wildly in size, with the biggest coming in at 3,251 pieces – and there are a couple of candidates that could claim that spot from the current list. Alex Sahli’s Italian Riviera and Delusion Brick’s The Goonies (1985) would both make good use of that piece count, and were both approved early August 2024, so a September release would make sense too.
Also given the green light in August last year was Roberto Ceruti and Jody Padulano’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which you can see the LEGO Group realising in 2,026 pieces, taking the slot of 21360 in December. Minerals Display by ddf72 is the latest set to be approved during a LEGO Ideas review, so you’d imagine that one might be 21363, but it’s tricky to even guess in the absence of any details for that one.
This is all just speculation at this point, and given these details are still rumoured – and have yet to be confirmed by the LEGO Group – it’s worth taking all this with a pinch of salt for now. The newest LEGO Ideas set to hit shelves will be 21355 The Evolution of STEM, which drops on March 1. Read our review of that one here.

I have been hearing rumours that LEGO might be releasing a Lego Enterprise D from the next generation from Star Trek, this would be awesome. There are not many Star Trek LEGO models out there, Star Wars, yes. Also I was wondering if there are any plans to do a collaboration with the RNLI to do some of there fleet. That would be a great way to raise funds.
if 21359 really has over 3000 parts for $60 it must surely be something with a lot of 1×1 plates/tiles!
