LEGO Fan Tour 2023 tickets go on sale today

Tickets for next year’s LEGO Fan Tour – a condensed version of the LEGO Inside Tour – are about to go on sale, but numbers are extremely limited.

Six tours will take place from March to November 23, with a maximum of 25 participants across each one. That’s a total of only 150 places up for grabs at 9am UK time today, so you’ll need to act fast if you want to secure a spot on one of the tours. The LEGO Fan Tour consists of a full day in Billund, Denmark, visiting areas that are usually off-limits to tourists.

The behind-the-scenes tour includes visits to the LEGO factory, the home of company founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen and the LEGO Ideas House (and its museum, neither of which are accessible to the public), along with a guided tour of the LEGO House. You’ll also get two hours of after-hours access to everything the LEGO House has to offer. The dates for each tour in 2023 are:

The price per ticket is 3,499 DKK, or around £411. That includes drinks, snacks and lunch, but doesn’t include transport to Billund, so you’ll need to factor in the cost of flights (and potentially accommodation, depending on flight times) too. It’s still much cheaper than the LEGO Inside Tour, which encompasses more events across a multi-day experience for 20,000 DKK, or £2,351 per head.

The entire tour will be conducted in English, and while it’s intended primarily for adults, kids aged 10 and up are welcome. Anyone aged between 10 and 17 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult. You can buy your ticket (while they’re available, which probably won’t be for very long) by heading over to the LEGO House website from 9am UK time on December 16, 2022.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
