LEGO Fortnite Battle Bus set rumoured with minifigures
One of the most iconic parts of Fortnite is rumoured to make up one of the biggest LEGO Fortnite sets with a surprising number of minifigures.
Instagram user exabrickslegogo_ states that the rumoured LEGO Fornite set wave reported for October 1 will feature a Battle Bus model. The Battle Bus is a classic part of Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode and drops players onto the island where they can do battle.
Over the years it has seen many variations and appears exclusively in the Battle Royale mode. Rumour has it that 77073 Battle Bus will cost $79.99 / €79.99 with 954 pieces, as was previously rumoured. The biggest news as part of this report is that it is said to feature 10 minifigures.
For a licensed LEGO set worth $79.99, that’s a notable number of minifigures compared to other licensed themes. For comparison, 76281 X-Men X-Jet has four minifigures for $84.99 and 359 pieces overall. It’s also worth noting that several of the Fortnite characters would require new physical elements, as they feature digitally in the LEGO Fortnite mode.
Given Fortnite’s popularity, there are many custom LEGO Fortnite Battle Bus models online including a particularly convincing take on the flying vehicle by CM4Sci. While it’s not official, it offers an idea of what to expect with a similar piece count.
A Battle Bus in Fortnite can hold up to 100 players and the bus driver. It seems unlikely that the rumoured LEGO set will have quite that much space but the reported information suggests that it could be a standout licensed model either way.
It’s one of a few LEGO Fortnite sets rumoured for later this year, though none of them have been officially confirmed and all unannounced details should be taken with caution. LEGO Fortnite is available to play within Fortnite now and its only physical depictions so far have been a promotional Loot Llama model and some Minifigure Factory designs.
