Limited-edition LEGO God of Fortune GWP set available in Singapore

An exclusive LEGO God of Fortune GWP set has appeared in Singapore, available as a limited-edition promotional item.

Two LEGO Seasonal sets launched in the UK and Europe on December 25, 2022, followed by a US release on January 10, 2023. In addition to 80110 Lunar New Year Display and 80111 Lunar New Year Parade, it’s also still possible to pick up 40605 Lunar New Year VIP Add-On Pack, with the GWP polybag available with purchases of £45 / $50 / €50 until January 25, 2023, while stocks last.

However, it now appears that yet another LEGO Lunar New Year GWP promotional item has been released, this time in Singapore in the shape of 6444659 God of Fortune. Instagram user brickfinder managed to pick up the limited-edition model at the Suntec City Mall, with the set available with spends over SGD $388. The multiple pieces for the model are packaged in a clear plastic bag, complete with instructions for constructing the character.

6444659 God of Fortune features a build of the deity known as Caishen, who in Chinese culture is prayed to by those who want to be blessed with more money and riches. The brick-built version of the God of Fortune (also known as the God of Wealth) echoes the look of the God of Wealth minifigure that appeared in 80108 Lunar New Year Traditions and features the same red and gold printed tile element also found it that set.

As with other limited-edition LEGO promotional sets available in other territories, it’s unlikely we’ll see 6444659 God of Fortune released outside of Singapore. To remedy that situation, brickfinder has already posted the instructions for the model on his site here, allowing others to build it if they so wish.
