The LEGO Group congratulates Michelle Yeoh on her historic Oscar win

Michelle Yeoh’s historic Oscar win for Everything Everywhere All At Once has been celebrated by the LEGO Group via its social media platforms.

The 95th Academy Awards took place in Los Angeles on Sunday, with the star-studded event featuring the biggest names in cinema from around the world. When it came to the grandest achievement of the night, it was Everything Everywhere All At Once that managed to take home a staggering seven golden statuettes, including Best Picture.

Amongst the awards the film garnered was Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, making her the first Asian woman to win in that category in the entire 95 years of Oscars history. During her acceptance speech, the 60 year-old said, “Ladies, never let anyone tell you you are past your prime.”

To commemorate the historic win, the LEGO Group has taken to its social media platforms to congratulate Michelle Yeoh on her achievement. A minifigure of the actress holding a golden award has been posted online by the company, with the message: “A little reminder to kids all around the world, that anything is possible.”

Despite starring in a number of high-profile projects over the years, including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the latest social media post is actually the closest Michelle Yeoh has ever come to being immortalised in LEGO form.
