The LEGO Group announces details of new Innovation Campus

Revised plans for the LEGO Group’s new Innovation Campus have been revealed, with construction due to start in 2024.

Back in February, 2023 the LEGO Group announced its intention to expand its Denmark headquarters with a number of new buildings, including an Innovation Campus. The intention for the project was to allow its product innovation and technology development workforces to expand, with staff moving into the new location by the end of 2025.

The LEGO Group today revealed new plans for the cutting-edge Innovation Campus in Billund, with details stating the building will, ‘provide a home for thousands of talented colleagues working within Product Marketing & Development functions and supporting Engineering & Quality functions in an inspiring and creative workplace environment.’

Construction of the state-of-the-art building is now due to commence in 2024, with the finished facility located at Kløvermarken – the third such grand campus in Billund. Apparently, the original plan was to build an office in the centre of Billund, but this was changed due to the anticipated number of employees at the location.

This is an investment in our people and our brand, and I am excited by the prospect of creating an environment that fuels passion and fosters creativity and innovation.”

The opening of the new 43,000 m2 building is now scheduled to take place in 2027.
