LEGO House kicks off 2024 season with new experience – and exclusive set

LEGO House’s 2024 season is about to get underway, with a brand-new themed experience and an exclusive new set.

LEGO House is preparing for a big year in 2024, with a brand new experience centred around Build the Change and an exclusive new set for this year. The experience itself, hosted on-site in the Billund attraction, aims to encourage cognitive Learning through Play through activities that “tackle culturally relevant topics and spark meaningful conversations, centred around sustainability”.

Situated in LEGO House’s Blue Zone, the activities in the new experience may change from time to time. However, some examples of what’s on offer include being challenged to devise an eco-friendly vehicle that operates on banana peels using a variety of LEGO bricks of course. Once your banana peel-fuelled vehicle is complete, a digital minifigure will capture your creation and hear about your innovative idea.

The Build the Change program has been around since 2007, organising various competitions and activities in schools to help young people learn vital skills. This new experience is a partnership between LEGO House and Build the Change, something that’s been in the works for the past year.

LEGO House is divided into Experience Zones, designed to build the five flexible skills that children learn whilst playing, helping them take on the future with confidence,” explained Kathrine Kirk Muff, Managing Director of LEGO House. “In the Blue Zone, you engage your cognitive skills in solving problems and handling challenges. Build the Change encourages the use of imagination to solve problems and encourages thinking in new and creative ways to find innovative solutions.

“The Build the Change program is all about giving children a voice and providing a playful and hands-on approach to current topics. However, the LEGO House version is designed to be equally engaging for all ages.”

LEGO House’s exclusive set for 2024

As well as this on-site experience, LEGO House has also announced an exclusive set coming this year, launching on March 1. No details about what the collector’s set will be but you can buy tickets to attend the launch of the set in Billund at LEGO House right now on February 29 at 4:15pm CET. Your ticket will cost 950 DKK per person (roughly £110 / $140 / €127) and include a copy of the 2024 LEGO House exclusive set (with a retail price of 699 DKK), signed by the two designers, as well as water, tea, coffee, and a light snack on the day.

Your day at LEGO House will also include a meet and greet with the designers behind the 2024 set, Stuart Harris and Markus Rollbühler, as well as a talk that dives into the historical aspects of this year’s product with Corporate Historian Kristian Reimer Hauge.

You can buy your ticket for the exclusive product launch by heading to the LEGO House website right now. We’d imagine these tickets will be popular, so move fast to secure your place.
