LEGO How to Train Your Dragon may be the most exciting LEGO 2025 rumour

A new theme rumoured to be coming in 2025 posits that LEGO How to Train Your Dragon is on the way and you should be (cautiously) excited.

Alongside further rumours for a return of LEGO The Simpsons in 2025, a recent rumour from the online LEGO community states that a new theme based on How to Train Your Dragon is coming in 2025, likely to time with the live-action film scheduled for July 13. As excited as you might be for it, it seems less likely that a full theme would be coming to time with the new theme park land in Orlando based on the franchise.

Whatever the reason, LEGO How to Train Your Dragon is believed to be in our future according to one of the more reliable sources of LEGO rumours. That said, you should take this report with caution until more is confirmed. It’s not quite a done deal just yet. After hundreds of brick-built dragons, LEGO How to Train Your Dragon seems like a perfect match and there’s more than one reason to get cautiously excited.

Whether it’s based on the original animated movie or the live-action counterpart, there are plenty of creatures from the franchise to draw inspiration from and memorable scenes including the test flight that would make for some interesting LEGO sets.

That’s not to mention the potential for LEGO Vikings references and new pieces relevant to the retired theme that would possibly debut. You can find out more about the rumour by watching our latest YouTube video from Brick Fanatics‘ own Hiccup lookalike. While we wait for confirmation of LEGO Toothless (and less importantly the other dragons from the franchise), you can click here to catch up on what else is rumoured for 2025. Take it all with a pinch of salt though, just in case.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
