A new rumour for LEGO The Simpsons' reported return in 2025 states that it will be a theme again alongside the debut of How to Train Your Dragon.
The reliable a.clay.brick – citing themselves as the source this time – has joined other sources in stating that The Simpsons will return in 2025, but specifically in the form of a theme. Previously, The Simpsons existed across a range of larger sets, Dimensions packs and minifigure series and was classified as a theme despite the sporadic releases.
We previously speculated on how LEGO The Simpsons might look should it return next year and it has existed in many forms. 'Theme' in this context may be referring to a single set, similar to how The Legend of Zelda is labelled as a theme only featuring
That's not all that is rumoured by the user for themes in 2025 though. They also report that a brand-new theme will debut next year in LEGO How to Train Your Dragon. The 2010 film based on the Cressida Cowell books has developed into a multi-movie franchise with various streaming series and even a theme park land set to open in Universal Epic Universe next year.

There's a live-action adaptation of the first film releasing on June 13, 2025, to consider – which may be the inspiration for the rumoured theme. Whether it would be based on the live-action or animated version of the film is unclear.
The Instagram user also does not know the number of sets that it may feature. Given the popularity of NINJAGO's dragon models, LEGO How to Train Your Dragon isn't a bad move for the LEGO Group to make next year with the film and the theme park land coming. Take everything in this report with a pinch of caution though as it's all only rumours until the LEGO Group makes an official announcement and details may be inaccurate.
