LEGO Icons 10306 Atari 2600 perfectly compliments new video game

A recent new retro video game collection release proves to be the perfect companion piece to LEGO Icons 10306 Atari 2600.

Iconic video game creator and publisher Atari is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, with half a decade of classic titles under its belt and new additions still being released to this day. The latest of these games is a collection of more than 100 playable classics that’s guaranteed to hit the sweet spot for misty-eyed fans who may just be old enough to remember the originals.

Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is available now and has been released on Xbox One, S and X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. The collection features 103 specially-curated games that appeared on Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, Jaguar and Lynx consoles, six of which are entirely new titles. Included in that list are such classics as Missile Command, Yars’ Revenge, Breakout, Haunted House and many others. In addition, the game also features interviews with designers, documentary footage, high-res artwork and more.

As such, Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is therefore the perfect companion to 10306 Atari 2600, with the Icons set having been released back in August, 2022. The 2,532-piece model is itself an homage to classic gaming of yesteryear and boasts accurate brick-built versions of the iconic console, controllers, game cartridges and mini buildable dioramas based on Asteroids, Adventure, Centipede – with all three games making an appearance in Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration.
