LEGO Icons 10338 Bumblebee is available early

Despite being announced to be available early for LEGO Insiders only, LEGO Icons 10338 Bumblebee has suddenly opened for pre-orders.

Transformers enthusiasts can now place their orders for 10338 Bumblebee despite the model initially being planned to go on sale on July 1 for LEGO Insiders and July 4 widely. Pre-orders aren’t just open to LEGO Insiders either as currently anyone can place an order of the LEGO Icons set early and purchases will ship from July 1.

The timing of this sudden change just so happens to coincide with the recent start of the 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books gift-with-purchase. The new tribute set is free with all purchases of above £135 / $150 / €150 for LEGO Insiders from June 21 to 23 and will then be available for everyone from June 24 to 30.

The LEGO Transformers set qualifies for the gift-with-purchase as all pre-orders do, but it won’t qualify for the free 40688 Trophy Award as that’s limited to select themes not including LEGO Icons.

Currently, pre-orders of 10338 Bumblebee are available in the UK and Europe and those in the US can expect the model to launch exclusively for LEGO Insiders on July 1 as planned before a wide release on July 4. You can read our review of the second LEGO Transformers set by clicking here.
