LEGO Icons 40580 Blacktron Cruiser GWP returns to Australian online store

A previously-released LEGO Icons gift-with-purchase set has returned to the Australian online store in the shape of 40580 Blacktron Cruiser.

This month’s double VIP points event has already kicked off down under, with the offer now appearing on LEGO.com in Australia. In addition to boosted points, a previously-released LEGO Icons GWP has also made a surprise return in the territory to coincide with the latest VIP promotion.

40580 Blacktron Cruiser is available for free with spends of $310 AUD from June 9 to June 18, while stocks last. The 456-piece LEGO Icons set was first up for grabs from January 1 to January 14, 2023, with purchases of £170 / $190 / €190 or more online and in-stores. The retro build echoes the 1987 Space set 6894 Invader, from the original Blacktron subtheme of the late 1980s, and we reviewed the GWP right here.

There are currently two GWP items available in the UK and Europe in the shape of 40589 Pirate Ship Playground and 40607 Summer Fun VIP Add-on Pack. The latter now appears to be out of stock in the US, potentially suggesting it may be gone for good.

There’s no word on whether or not 40580 Blacktron Cruiser will be available in other territories from tomorrow or if the returning GWP is limited to just Australia for now.
