LEGO Ideas 40789 Flying Moon Car officially revealed
The LEGO Ideas team has revealed a fan-designed LEGO Insiders Reward, coming to the Rewards Centre in a few days’ time.
LEGO Ideas 40789 Flying Moon Car will be available from July 1 for 2,500 Insiders points, based pretty faithfully on the design from EnchantingNoodle, also known as Teddy. Made up of 211 pieces, the space-themed vehicle is suspended above the brick-built lunar surface by a pedestal, with flames shooting out of the tailpipes.
There are also two space traveller minifigures with spacesuits to man the moon car, with a sign pointing the way to the moon-based motorist’s destination. You can take the vehicle itself off the support pedestal for a closer look too.

Launching on July 1, 40789 Flying Moon Car will become available alongside another LEGO Ideas set, the newly revealed 40788 Friendly Snails, about to launch as a free gift with all orders over £145 in the UK, $160 in the US and €160 in Europe.
With 40789 Flying Moon Car available whether or not you’re making a July 1 LEGO.com order, it’s up to you which one you go for – or whether you opt for both. In the case of 40789 Flying Moon Car, you will need to order the set as part of a purchase, but you can secure your code to use anytime within the next 60 days.

Am I the only one who thinks that this set at least slightly resembles Han Solo’s Landspeeder from 2018?
