LEGO Ideas Dr. Eggman’s Takeover challenge fan vote now open

The fan vote for the latest LEGO Ideas challenge is now open, with Dr. Eggman’s Takeover offering up all kinds of Sonic the Hedgehog prizes.

The latest LEGO Ideas competition was announced earlier this month, with creative builders challenged to customise SEGA’s spikey blue mascot by his arch nemesis to win plenty of cool goodies. Dr. Eggman’s Takeover wants to see unique designs for Sonic the Hedgehog models that have been given a villainous makeover and now you can choose which are the best submissions.

The hashtag #MakeLEGOSonicMoreEggman is being used to promote the event, which has been launched ahead of the full range of LEGO Sonic sets arriving on August 1, 2023. The LEGO Ideas promotion now moves to its fan vote stage, which runs from July 13 to July 20. So far there have been over 200 submissions to the latest LEGO Ideas competition (The Egghog, anyone?), which might make selecting winners a little tricky. The results of the Dr. Eggman’s Takeover challenge will be announced on July 27, revealing which entry has received the most overall votes.

One Grand Prize Winner receives 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone76990 Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge76991 Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane76992 Amy’s Animal Rescue Island76994 Sonic’s Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge, a Nintendo Switch with Sonic games, and a Sonic graphic novel.
