First LEGO Ideas Test Lab sets available now with updated designs

The LEGO Ideas Test Lab models are now available to order, but the designs have been updated and their prices have been revealed.

In January 2023, a range of fan-designed builds from the invite-only LEGO Ideas Test Lab program was revealed, confirming nine upcoming models. Seven of these have now been released with some changes to their original designs.

You order the models via Pick a Brick and can click one button to add all of the pieces needed to your basket. As they all use ‘Best Seller’ pieces, they may be processed quicker than other Pick a Brick orders. The instructions can be found on the LEGO Ideas Test Lab page on LEGO.com.

Here’s a summary of the LEGO Ideas Test Lab designs available now in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand:

Billboard Fun, once named Double-Sided Billboard or Frame has lost a lamp on one side of the model. Cyber Explorers has a bigger base but otherwise appears to be the same.

One of the biggest changes has been made to the 4-Season Greenhouse, renamed from Greenhouse Vignette. Now, the set has a yellow exterior though brown tiles are still included in the parts selection.

Market Magic has had a few updates with a different base colour and more accessories. Modular Racers doesn’t appear to have changed though and Garden Dreams has an additional plot of land to decorate. Rounding out the selection Brick-quarium’s build remains mostly the same with the centre of the blue fish being amended.

The images in the above galleries depict the original design on the left and the available versions from LEGO.com on the right. Christmas Sock by BrickStability and Sugar Skull by yop1172 are not available just yet as they are being saved until later in the year, likely when the seasonal models are more relevant.
