LEGO Insiders Customisable Logo Cap review

Currently available at the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre is a ridiculously-priced ‘free’ reward – the Customisable Logo Cap.

Customisable Logo Cap is a reward currently redeemable at LEGO.com’s Insiders Rewards Centre, in the Collectables section. It can be redeemed by spending points earned on LEGO.com and LEGO Store purchases. How many points exactly? More on that later…

A good quality Snapback-style cap, the Customisable Logo Cap offers up a Velcro panel at the front to hold one of three included interchangeable LEGO theme/subtheme logos from yesteryear, based on Castle, Blacktron and BIONICLE. There is some LEGO piece printing on the underside of the brim, and a gold sticker with Danish and English wording of the LEGO Group’s ‘Only the best is good enough’ slogan.

The cap is well made and for the right price would hold appeal for a good number of LEGO fans (even if it may not suit as many), but it is so ridiculously priced it’s unlikely many of us will pick it up. The Customisable Logo Cap requires 4,000 Insiders points, which is the number of points awarded on a staggering £500 spend at LEGO.com or in LEGO Stores. You will have needed to spend that much to earn the points required for this freebie.

Alternatively, 4,000 points would net you a £25 money-off voucher to use at LEGO.com or in LEGO Stores. If you value the Customisable Logo Cap based on the money required to get enough points, or on the other rewards you could pick up for the same number of Insiders points, there’s little in either case to say this is fair value.
