LEGO is expanding its trial Pick a Brick program to more countries

The LEGO Group have announced that minimum purchase values for Pick a Brick will be coming to more countries, following an initial trial in the UK.

You might remember that earlier in the year, a trial was revealed to be coming to the UK’s official online store which would apply a minimum order of £12 to any purchase from the Pick a Brick service. This was to better realise the intentions for Pick a Brick, which was designed for bulk orders.

Back when the trial was first announced, the LEGO Group stated that it needed to gather an appropriate sample size of orders before deciding the future of minimum purchase values on the service. It seems that the results have been satisfactory as three more countries will be subject to this very soon.

Speaking to Zusammengebaut, The LEGO Group confirmed the details of this expansion with the program set to come to Denmark, the Netherlands and France with minimum order values of 150 DKK and €18.00 from May 20. You can read our original article on the trial for how this might affect you as well as an example of what to expect when ordering bricks.

The LEGO Group’s other part selection service for smaller orders, Bricks and Pieces, hasn’t been mentioned to be changing any of its operations but we’ll keep you updated if anything is revealed. We’ll also keep you updated on what other regions the pilot project will arrive in next.
