LEGO is named Britain’s favourite brand

Once again, LEGO has topped a list of favourite brands, with Britain naming it the country’s favourite.

For the second year running, the British public has named LEGO as the country’s favourite brand. It was in 2018 that LEGO took the accolade from British Airways, holding on to the title in 2019, the Drum reports. Notably, it is the only company representing the toy industry in the top 10 ranking.

While LEGO was named the UK’s favourite brand, Amazon was selected as the most “relevant”.

2,500 members of the public were questioned for the survey, which saw Apple come second and Gilette come third – the British public has varied tastes.

Here is the full top 10:
1. LEGO
2. Apple
3. Gillette
4. Rolex
5. British Airways
6. Coca-Cola
7. Andrex
8. Mastercard
9. Visa
10. Dyson

Amazon’s strong performance was in a separate survey by Superbrands, that demonstrated the brand gaining more relevance with consumers. That survey measures how useful a brand is to its users, focusing on day to day importance. LEGO made it into the top 20 in that survey, but not the top 10 – clearly the sample was not made up AFOLs.
