LEGO launches the brand new Star Wars Diorama Collection today

Just like when the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection was first introduced, a new range of 18+ models have joined the theme today – dioramas.

Today, April 26, 2022, the official online store has started selling the following new LEGO Star Wars sets.

75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama
75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama
75339 Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama
75342 Republic Fighter Tank

The first three sets in that list belong to the new LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection – a series of models with complex builds aimed at adults, recreating scenes from the film. So far, 75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama, 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama and 75339 Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama are all based on the original trilogy.

The smallest of this first wave is 75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama, including no minifigures and focusing on the chase to destroy the Death Star with a small printed R2-D2 sitting in a miniature X-Wing Starfighter, pursued by Darth Vader and two TIE Fighters.

From that mostly mechanical model to one that’s a bit more natural, 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama revisits Dagobah with a build that mixes the murky swamp and the curved roots of the trees to summarise Luke’s Jedi training into one diorama.

All four new LEGO Star Wars sets are available now on the official online store. You can check out our reviews for both of the pictured dioramas above by clicking here for 75329 and here for 75330.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
