LEGO Marvel 76217 I am Groot branches out later this year

He is Groot so says this new LEGO Marvel set as the organic Guardian of the Galaxy gets his own brick-built figure later in 2022.

After the release of 76206 Iron Man Figure earlier this year, the LEGO Group is following it up with another Marvel model, depicting Baby Groot with this own UCS-style plaque. Don’t expect much information on that plate though, as Groot’s signature language is all you’ll find.

Made up of 476 pieces for $44.99 / €49.99 / $49.99, Groot comes with the Awesome Mix Vol. 2 cassette tape, solidifying this as a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set, in case you couldn’t tell by the chaos in the background of the box art.

76217 I am Groot was rumoured alongside two other sets, and 76216 has already appeared on the official online store’s instructions database. This might suggest that 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum is coming soon. Take it with caution for now, but you can find out more about the rumoured model in our initial report.

Measuring 26cm tall and 11cm across, Baby Groot features a full range of articulation on his limbs and head. You can expect to find 76217 I am Groot on shelves from June 1, or you can pre-order it now if you’re in the US ready for an August 1 launch.
