LEGO Marvel 76266 Endgame Final Battle gets a Thanos bigfig upgrade

The Thanos bigfig included with the upcoming LEGO Marvel 76266 Endgame Final Battle has been given a notable upgrade.

Four new LEGO Marvel sets for this summer were recently revealed, joining three models that were released on June 1. 76249 Venomised Groot, 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle, 76263 Iron Man Hulkbuster vs. Thanos and 76266 Endgame Final Battle are all due to be launched August 1, 2023.

The latter is the latest brick-built iteration of the iconic Avengers: Endgame conflict, with the 794-piece build priced at £94.99 / $109.99 / €104.99 and packed with hidden secrets. In addition, 76266 Endgame Final Battle also comes with minifigures of Captain Marvel, Okoye, Wanda Maximoff, Shuri and Valkyrie, a microfigure of The Wasp and a Thanos bigfig.

A large-scale version of Thanos has been included in a number of LEGO Marvel sets to date, most recently in 76192 Avengers: Endgame Final Battle. However, collectors may well want to grab the upcoming bigfig version of the Infinity Gauntlet-wielder too, as it features one significant upgrade – a new head piece.

While the body of Thanos in 76266 Endgame Final Battle remains the same mould as featured in 76192 Avengers: Endgame Final Battle, the villain does gain an improved (and removable) head element with a revised face print. It’s not a major update as such, but it does offer a variant version that many may want to pick up and the new piece can at least be swapped out and used with other bigfig characters, for the sake of variety and customisability.
