LEGO Marvel celebrates Guardians of the Galaxy with April releases

Four new sets join the LEGO Marvel theme, all centred around Guardians of the Galaxy ahead of the third movie’s release.

Just over a month before the release of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3, the LEGO Group is certainly getting into the swing of things, with four new releases coming to LEGO Marvel all centred around the upcoming movie now available to buy around the world. The first is another addition to the helmet range: 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet.

As you’ll know if you’ve seen Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord in action, the top of his helmet is open, unlike the other Star Wars and Marvel characters that have been tackled in the helmet range. The LEGO Group has therefore sold it with a double (and somewhat bizarre) function: a pen holder. Whether you want the set for that or not, it’s a typically detailed replica of Star-Lord’s iconic helmet, complete with the unique breathing apparatus around the mouth.

The other three sets are builds of varying sizes, ranging from the smallest of 67 pieces (76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters) to the largest at 1,108 piece (76255 The New Guardians’ Ship). The middle sibling of the trio, 76254 Baby Rocket’s Ship, features two figures for Rocket, one young and one old, but both equally adorable.
