The next LEGO modular building is rumoured to be residential

An exciting rumoured update for the next LEGO modular building has appeared online as we might know the purpose of the detailed building.

From a museum to a cinema and the occasional apartment, the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection is as varied as they come but there’s one aspect of a city or town that has been missing from the range, or at least never been dedicated to in full.

Thankfully, that’s rumoured to change later this year as the latest report from Kramer (a /toy/user on 4chan) and corroborated by reliable Instagram user a.clay.brick states that 10350 will be a residential property.

Rumoured to be a likely December 1 release, 10350 Residential Townhouse is believed to include 3,266 pieces for $229.99. The LEGO Modular Buildings Collection has many properties scattered across the lengthy street but no singular set has ever been entirely dedicated to residential homes.

The closest we’ve ever got to such a model is most of 10218 Pet Shop, which weighs in at 2,032 pieces comparatively but didn’t have much interior design. There’s no telling from the rumoured information whether 10350 Residential Townhouse is a straight building or a corner entry. History suggests that a corner building is next up though.

A corner building could fit a residential townhouse nicely, providing minifigures with more windows peering onto the street outside. The piece count is notably higher than 10312 Jazz Club and 10297 Boutique Hotel and where that extra budget could go in a modular may seem confusing. Consider though, that a residential townhouse with multiple homes per section of the building might require the most focused and dense interior of any LEGO modular building.

Nothing more has been confirmed or rumoured at the time of writing but December 1 is approaching and we might know what to expect from the set’s tie-in gift-with-purchase too. Take all unconfirmed information with caution just in case.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Didn’t Bookshop 10270 also have a townhouse attached to it?
