LEGO Monkie Kid anniversary GWP spotted online

Likely set to be paired with the recently revealed 80054 Megapolis City, LEGO Monkie Kid could also welcome a free anniversary set next year.

The LEGO Group is celebrating the fifth anniversary of LEGO Monkie Kid in 2024, resulting in the upcoming release of the enormous 80054 Megapolis City (made even bigger when you combine it with the January 1 releases from the last two years). To go alongside the 2,330-piece set, it appears that there will also be a gift-with-purchase, although details of the minimum spend are not yet confirmed.

Thanks to a listing on Brickset, we do however have a picture of the GWP, as well as a potential name. 6476261 Monkie Kid 5th Anniversary Cake does what it says on the tin, featuring a multi-tiered, brick-built cake made up of various LEGO Monkie Kid faces and imagery.

The build also appears to include a minifigure of what appears to be the Monkie King in a birthday party hat, celebrating the birthday of his theme in style. The build itself isn’t enormous (although we don’t yet have a confirmed piece count) but some of the pieces look interesting, with a range of studs printed with eyes, stars, and hearts, as well as a commemorative plaque with the number five on it, in honour of the anniversary.

We don’t yet know if this will definitely be a gift-with-purchase, what the minimum spend might be, or when it will be out (apart from some time in 2024). With the release of 80054 Megapolis City set for January 1, 2024, this would seem like the prime opportunity to have 6476261 Monkie Kid 5th Anniversary Cake be the accompanying free gift. We’ll have to wait for official word from the LEGO Group to know for sure, as always.
