Fresh LEGO NINJAGO 2024 rumours include minifigures and set contents

Even more details on the rumoured LEGO NINJAGO 2024 sets are beginning to surface online, including the minifigures we can expect to see in the mech-heavy line-up.

A whopping six of the 13 sets initially reported by Brickmerge for LEGO NINJAGO in 2024 are still rumoured to be mechs, with Jay, Cole, Kai, Arin, Sora and Kai again all getting their own battle suits. Instagram user 1414falconfan has now reported further details on those models (via Polish fan site faniklockow.pl), along with more information on the other sets rumoured to be launching in January and March next year.

Check out all the new details below, but keep in mind that these are all just rumours at this point – so don’t be surprised if details change (no matter how big or small) between now and the time of release, or if these sets just don’t turn up as expected at all. We’ll only know for sure one way or the other once the LEGO Group unveils its full 2024 slate.

71801-71803 Dragon Gliders

Price: £TBC / $10.99 / €10.99 Pieces: Varied Release date: January 2024

Three new entry-level NINJAGO sets are apparently on the cards for 2024, comprising 71801 Kai’s Dragon Glider, 71802 Nya’s Dragon Glider and 71803 Arin’s Dragon Glider. Those are said to include just 24, 26 and 27 pieces respectively, and include each of their eponymous ninja alongside a warrior with a wolf mask print.

71804 Arin’s Battle Mech

Price: £TBC / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 104 Release date: January 2024

Unsurprisingly, 71804 Arin’s Battle Mech is rumoured to include… Arin. This would be the new-for-2023 NINJAGO character’s second mech, and is said to also include ‘some terrain’ and a wolf minifigure with a moulded head, which is giving us shades of Legends of Chima. Don’t expect too much from the build, though: this is reportedly a 4+ set.

71805 Jay’s Battle Mech

Price: £TBC / $10.99 / €10.99 Pieces: 78 Release date: January 2024

This mech might be more accurately considered a NINJAGO battle pack of sorts, because 71805 Jay’s Battle Mech is said to come with a whopping four minifigures for just $10.99. Those are Jay (obvs), Lloyd, the moulded wolf-head minifigure and ‘an unknown enemy in a hood’, reports 1414falconfan.

71806 Cole’s Earth Mech

Price: £TBC / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 235 Release date: January 2024

Proving mechs can still come in all different shapes and sizes, 71806 Cole’s Earth Mech targets a $20 price point with a bigger model than 71805 Jay’s Battle Mech. It’s also apparently less character-focused, including only Cole, a wolf warrior (no word on if that’s a printed or moulded head) and a hammer-wielding mech.

71807 Sora’s Tech Mech

Price: £TBC / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 209 Release date: January 2024

This year’s 71792 Sora’s Transforming Mech Bike Racer.

Weighing in at the same price as 71806 Cole’s Earth Mech, 71807 Sora’s Tech Mech will hopefully be just as dramatic in its colour scheme as this year’s 71792 Sora’s Transforming Mech Bike Racer. Early details are promising: it’s rumoured to be sporting a transparent sword in one hand, which sounds awesome, alongside a shuriken in the other. The minifigures are said to consist of Sora and a wolf warrior.

71808 Kai’s Fire Mech

Price: £TBC / $29.99 / €29.99 Pieces: 322 Release date: January 2024

The first of two mechs for Kai is slightly larger than the others listed so far, reportedly coming in at 322 pieces for $29.99. We’re looking at another stacked character line-up, though: as well as Kai, 71808 Kai’s Fire Mech is rumoured to include Zane, a hooded wolf warrior, and a brand new character called either Jordan or Jordana (depending on their gender, presumably), who’s rocking a fur neck attachment a la Spider-Man’s Kraven the Hunter.

71809 Egalt the Master Dragon

Price: £TBC / $64.99 / €64.99 Pieces: 532 Release date: January 2024

Moving away from mechs for a moment – if you can believe it – and into similarly-familiar NINJAGO territory, 71809 Egalt the Master Dragon is said to be 2024’s first NINJAGO dragon, coming in at 532 pieces for $64.99. The master dragon is rumoured to be accompanied by a small tree build, and includes Lloyd, Nya, Sora, a new version of Ras and another brand new character named Cinder.

71810 Riyu the Baby Dragon

Price: £TBC / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 132 Release date: March 2024

When is a baby dragon not a baby dragon? When it’s constructed from 132 pieces. Okay, 71810 Riyu the Baby Dragon is likely still going to look small and cute next to, say, 71809 Egalt the Master Dragon, but it’s still a big leap from the single moulded element for Riyu that debuted this year. This set is said to include Arin and wolf warrior minifigures, alongside a buildable Riyu with a new head piece.

71811 Arin’s Off-road Buggy

Price: £TBC / $49.99 / €49.99 Pieces: 267 Release date: March 2024

With a price-per-piece ratio that will hopefully be explained away by giant wheels, 71811 Arin’s Off-road Buggy is expected to include a vehicle with a hook on the back, and yet another tree build. (NINJAGO is seemingly all about trees in 2024.) The minifigure line-up will supposedly include Arin, Cole, new character Jordan/Jordana and a wolf warrior.

71812 Kai’s Ninja Climbing Mech

Price: £TBC / $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 623 Release date: March 2024

What, you thought we were done with mechs now? Kai isn’t done either: in addition to his fire mech in January, the red ninja will reportedly receive a climbing variant in March. 71812 Kai’s Ninja Climbing Mech will apparently be a huge, four-armed mech – two of which have hooks for climbing – with minifigures of Kai, Jay, Wyldfyre and two wolf warriors.

71819 Dragonstone Temple

Price: £TBC / $119.99 / €119.99 Pieces: 1,212 Release date: March 2024

Little is known about this temple so far, which is currently the biggest LEGO NINJAGO set on the slate for 2024. But according to 1414falconfan, it will see the return of Garmadon to the NINJAGO fold, accompanied by minifigures of Kai, Nya, Sensei Wu and Lloyd in a ‘masters outfit’.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
