LEGO NINJAGO 2026 set concept art revealed

LEGO NINJAGO’s first fan event appearance is underway in Australia, revealing some 2026 set concept art, new collectables and minifigure teases.

The LEGO Group’s attendance at Brickvention Australia was previously announced to include a NINJAGO booth celebrating 15 years of the theme, and those in attendance have revealed the exact offerings at the booth. This includes some early concept art for the recent 71857 Ninja Vehicle Tree House Battle.

Concept art isn’t all that’s currently on show at the booth, though, as there’s also a tease for the remaining NINJAGO 2026 minifigures.

The concept art for 71857 Ninja Vehicle Tree House Battle on display showcases just how much the set changed between this phase and the final build. The tree house was originally going to be much more natural in its colour scheme, with a helipad on top for Zane’s vehicle. There was also going to be a garage for Kai’s vehicle underneath, and it was going to be a car rather than a bike.

Other changes include the lack of and the ability to launch a net, seemingly using a piece often associated with Spider-Man. Notably, the tree house itself wasn’t too much bigger in the concept phase, still putting the focus on the vehicles.

More NINJAGO minifigures teased

The booth also features a wall of every LEGO NINJAGO minifigure to date, including those released in 2026. As we’re only a month into the year, the LEGO Group has not revealed all of the minifigures for 2026, instead using black minifigures to only reveal how many more are on the way.

Alongside the additional anniversary minifigure that has been teased, there are two more coming, grouped with the elemental monsters and loyalists from the most recent sets. The display also has spaces for 15 other minifigures in their own category. Rumours posit that there are many more LEGO NINJAGO sets on the way this year, though nothing has been confirmed. At least we know how many more minifigures to expect in the meantime.

Also on show at the booth was a rare peek at concept art for the series and minifigures, revealing what could have been for the new masks, the Arc Dragon of life and the dragon form which the ninjas can take on, including how they can transform themselves.

Whether this booth’s contents will differ from those of other fan events the LEGO Group will come to later in the year has yet to be confirmed, but we know that NINJAGO will have an official presence at more conventions in the future. Anyone at Brickvention Australia right now can also pick up an exclusive NINJAGO coin and a Dragon of Life mini model, likely while stocks last.

Brickvention Australia is taking place this weekend, January 17 and 18, but there’s much more to come from NINJAGO for the 15th anniversary. Click here for our recent guide on what to expect this year.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
