LEGO NINJAGO City Workshop dioramas would make ideal Insiders rewards

If the LEGO NINJAGO design team is looking for ideas for potential Insiders rewards, then 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops may have the answer.

The largest LEGO NINJAGO release of the year so far is right around the corner, with the recently-revealed 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops launching on March 1, 2025. The 3,244-piece set is packed with four floors of brick-built content, 10 minifigures, a working crane, a poseable mech, multiple Easter eggs and much more.

One of the many impressive features of 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops comes in the form of a quartet of mini dioramas that can be removed from the larger build. They include Zane’s apartment, sinister entertainer Doroma’s room, a mechanic’s workshop and a small restaurant area.

The option to make those sections of the LEGO NINJAGO model removable is definitely a smart move, as they can then be admired up close, displayed separately or combined in different ways. In addition, the look and size of the 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops dioramas with minifigures would also make them ideal candidates for potential Insiders rewards or even GWPs.

We’ve seen similar offerings before, with the likes of various Toys R Us Bricktober releases that have eventually made their way to the Insiders rewards page, such as 5007427 Pirate Adventure Ride. The LEGO NINJAGO dioramas also echo the visual style of 40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures, a 203-piece LEGO Ideas GWP that popped up in 2022.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that LEGO NINJAGO has been the source of multiple Insiders rewards either. The theme received four micro-modular sets over the last couple of years (matching their much larger cousins), with the quartet of tiny builds still available at the time of this writing.

Of course that’s all wishful thinking on our part, but the mere fact that the dioramas exist does give us hope that we’ll get to see more of such satisfying LEGO NINJAGO mini-builds at some point.

71837 NINJAGO City Workshops will be released on March 1, 2025 priced at 219.99 / $249.99 / €249.99.
