LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Season 2 may hint at rumours

LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising’s second season’s first episodes may hint at details mentioned in some of the rumoured summer 2024 sets.

What seems likely to be the first part of the second season of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising is now available four months after the first sets based on the season released earlier this year. The first season of the series was split into two parts and episode 10 of the new season ended with a major cliffhanger, similar to part one of the first season. Following this pattern and rumours for LEGO NINJAGO sets in summer 2024, more episodes may be on the way.

Of the latest episodes, some scenes feature details that may align with parts of the rumoured summer 2024 sets. Note that this article will be discussing major spoilers for the first 10 episodes of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Season, which is streaming on Netflix and other services now in some regions.

Episode 10 features a mention of the Tournament of the Sources, which could be the tournament named in the rumoured 30675 Tournament Training Grounds, 71814 Tournament Temple Arena and 71818 Tournament Arena Battle. The tournament seems likely to involve the Source Dragons, which are also part of a rumoured set.

Earlier in the season, Lloyd experiences a vision triggered by spirits of the Source Dragons, including what may be our first look at 71822 Fire Source Dragon, though in spirit form. This was featured in the trailer but the rest of the season focuses on the Source Dragons more than the first too. Otherwise, the season so far features vehicles and locations covered in currently available LEGO NINJAGO sets.

Nothing for LEGO NINJAGO is confirmed beyond the March 2024 wave of sets and all unconfirmed information should be taken with caution. The January and March waves for LEGO NINJAGO in 2024 are available now and one more has been confirmed.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
