LEGO NINJAGO Garmadon collection may hint at future editions

The recently-released LEGO NINJAGO Vol. 1: Garmadon comic book collection could potentially hint at future edtions to come.

Last year, LEGO Ideas and Skybound Entertainment offered fans the chance to vote for which cover image should appear on a special version of LEGO NINJAGO Vol. 1: Garmadon. The trade paperback collection of the five-issue series was originally published by Image Comics in November 2022, but now a new variant edition of the title can be purchased from LEGO.com and the Skybound Store.

Created by writer/artist Tri Vuong, the comic book follows the early years of Master Wu’s brother, before he became the theme’s powerful foe. Following the completion of the series, fans were given one of three different cover design options to select from for a limited-edition version of the book that would be available online at a later date. The winning cover received 1,158 votes and can be picked up right now for £10.99 / $12.99 / €12.99.

With the collected edition of the story now complete and labelled as Volume 1, that might suggest that more LEGO NINJAGO comic books could be on their way at some point. LEGO NINJAGO: Garmadon was the first such title from the partnership of the LEGO Group, Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics, with the success of the series potentially leading to more such publishing ventures. However, there have been no announcements regarding more LEGO NINJAGO titles at this stage, so do treat that suggestion with speculation for now.

Interestingly, the listing on LEGO.com states that LEGO NINJAGO Vol. 1: Garmadon is a 144-page book, whereas Amazon details the title as having 128-pages. Whether this is merely an error or suggests the version on the official online store includes additional bonus content is not yet known.
