LEGO Party game announced for extra release on Netflix

The recent LEGO Party game is already available on every current console, but it has been announced for an additional release on Netflix.

In our review for LEGO Party, we stated that LEGO Party is an ideal Mario Party alternative for every platform, but we never imagined that ‘every platform’ would include Netflix. The streaming service has announced a suite of party games coming to the service this holiday season as part of its continued effort to increase the service’s gaming offerings.

The full list of party games includes LEGO Party!, Pictionary: Game Night, Boggle Party, Tetris Time Warp, and Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends. Just scroll to the ‘Games’ tab on your TV, pick a game and use your phone as the controller to play. All five games are included in your Netflix subscription.

Whether LEGO Party’s Netflix release will consist of the full experience or an adapted version, similar to other console-first games in previous years, is unknown. The press release suggests that you’ll at least be able to experience the challenge zones and minigames as you would in the standard release from the end of September.

For those with a Netflix subscription, you don’t have any excuses to miss out on giving LEGO Party a go now, and NINJAGO fans in particular will find a lot to love in this release. More games will be coming to Netflix in the future, but none of the other recent LEGO titles would fit the control scheme of a TV remote well. We’ll let you know if any other LEGO game releases are coming to the streaming service in the future, though.

LEGO Party is available now for PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S for £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99. It will be coming to Netflix soon.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
