How LEGO Series 26 Space minifigures can fit into your wider collection
LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71046 Series 26 Space is on the horizon and fitting them into your wider collection doesn’t have to be a challenge.
71046 Series Space and its 12 colourful space-centric characters launch in less than a month on May 1 and it seems that the challenge of finding them has been resolved far in advance thanks to Brick Search. The only problem left to solve is where to put all 12 (or more) minifigures in 71046 Series 26 Space.

Keeping in mind the overall space theme present throughout 71046 Series 26 Space, we’re going minifigure by minifigure to see where you might be able to display every character in the new LEGO Collectible Minifigure with a bit of creativity – whether you pick up one or many more.
Blacktron Mutant

The Blacktron Mutant is one of the most challenging minifigures to find a place for as its Blacktron II design makes it suitable for the likes of a massive custom model similar to Alexandre Rossier’s Blacktron Explorer but the mutant aspect makes it stand out compared to almost every other LEGO Blacktron minifigure. You could depict some manner of infestation or invasion within your Blacktron II display to resolve this, though another solution may be more simple and displayable.
Warvanov has devised a Blacktron minifigure display stand complete with a giant recreation of the logo. You could adapt the design depending on the number of Blacktron minifigures you own though or add a variety of equipment on the sides to showcase just the Blacktron Mutant.
Ice Planet Explorer

Whether you want to remix official sets from LEGO Star Wars or The LEGO Movie similar to Bryan B on Flickr or have a giant Ice Planet model in the works similar to Kim Cefa, the Ice Planet Explorer can fit in a variety of places in your LEGO collection.
While an Ice Planet display would be ideal for the minifigure, we’d also point out that 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens has an Ice Planet ice cream shop that needs a mascot (of which both the minifigure and their penguin would be suitable). The current range of LEGO City Arctic models could do with a specialised explorer similar to what is rumoured for a jungle range this summer with Johnny Thunder.
Imposter

You could have the Imposter minifigure in 71046 Series 26 piloting the minifigure mech in 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure to take the set’s best secret one step further or there may be some even more creative ways to integrate the minifigure into your collection.
The main minifigure could be the perfect addition to a Men in Black display similar to what Kostyanman has submitted on LEGO Ideas. They could reference the Arquillans and their human suits, which seem to have served as a major inspiration for the Imposter in 71046 Series 26 Space. The spare green nanofigures could then be integrated into a microscale LEGO alien invasion display, as proposed by lordgabeadon to commemorate Alien Conquest.
Robot Butler

Roythomasbaker on Reddit has offered the perfect display opportunity for the Robot butler in 71046 Series 26 Space. The minifigure’s design with its domed head and conjoined head may remind you of B-9 the robot from Lost in Space from the ’60s.
It seems unlikely that the design similarities are a coincidence and as such, the Robot Butler is an ideal addition to a LEGO Lost in Space display. Alternatively, the butler minifigure could be used in a futuristic custom mansion, catering to the whims of other minifigures as programmed.
Alien Beetlezoid

The insectoid aliens from LEGO Galaxy Squad might need a new leader and thankfully, the Alien Beetlezoid is here to help fill that role. As well as being good for a certain Star Wars character, the Alien Beetlezoid is ideal for Galaxy Squad custom models.
Consider the hexagonal design on the minifigure’s wings – similar to the design aesthetic of the minifigures in LEGO Galaxy Squad and while its purple colour scheme isn’t quite like the official LEGO Galaxy Squad aliens, that should help it stand out from the crowd even further, ready to lead the insectoid invasion. ACPin’s minifigure-centric display build could serve as inspiration for a home for the Alien Beetlezoid too.
Retro Space Heroine

Pairing the new Retro Space Heroine and her dog with the Retro Spaceman from Series 17 is going to be the ideal way to show off the new minifigure. The two minifigures are both inspired by retro sci-fi movies and a similarly retro rocket for them to ride in would be the best place to display them.
Both Brick Replay and Boone Builds have shared their takes on a retro vehicle based on the Series 17 minifigure and switching the colour scheme to match the Retro Space Heroine would work wonders for displaying the new minifigure.
Nurse Android

A brand new Spacebaby is coming in 71046 Series 26 as part of the Nurse Android, this time coloured pink to join the blue and white versions offered previously. To display both of these characters, there’s one elegant answer.
Elessar2929 has shared a LEGO Classic Space nursery on LEGO Ideas and it’s a perfect fit for the new minifigure and accessory. Whether you follow their design or devise one of your own, it simply makes sense for the latest Spacebaby.
Flying Saucer Costume Fan

The Flying Saucer Custom Fan is great for microscale cities as a tongue-in-cheek inclusion to replace a microscale UFO. Alternatively, you could remove the body and suspend the head and neck accessory to avoid a giant minifigure stomping around your microscale world.
Take Loïc Gilbert‘s example and replace their custom UFO with the head of the Flying Saucer Custom Fan and it’s an interesting addition to any microscale farm without needing many extra elements.
M-Tron Powerlifter

Every good LEGO spaceport needs someone to lift and transport the cargo from the storeroom to the various ships and the M-Tron Powerlifter is perfect for this role.
SweStar‘s cargo ship and port are one example of what can be achieved and their colour scheme would look good with the M-Tron minifigure too.
Alien Tourist

It seems likely that many custom LEGO city displays are about to be infested with Alien Tourist minifigures from May 1 and these scenes are a great place to display the unique minifigure from 71046 Series 26 Space. Smaller city scenes including that of Markus Rollbühler are perfect for the minifigure too.
Specifically, the summer attire that the Alien Tourist is wearing makes them ideal for summer scenes, such as follow_illumination‘s beach display. Scattering one or two among the many tourist minifigures could offer an interesting secret for guests to find, or you might even take over the beach with enough Alien Tourist minifigures.
Orion

While you might be tempted to display Orion with other transparent minifigures, the design of the character reminds us of an especially impressive cosplay. The 71046 Series 26 Space minifigure wouldn’t look out of place next to other cosplayer minifigures at a huge convention centre, similar to the one created by Bevins Bricks World.
For a custom LEGO comic-con, costume contest or another suitable convention concept, consider using the Orion minifigure from 71046 Series 26 Space.
Spacewalking Astronaut

The Spacewalking Astronaut in 71046 Series 26 Space is much more realistic than any other minifigure in the new series and as such, its use may be more limited without getting overtly creative.
NASA-inspired models would suit the minifigure best and DadBricks‘ recreation of the Gemini VII spacecraft could be compatible with an upgrade featuring the Spacewalking Astronaut. Otherwise, LEGO space stations where spacewalking is vital to maintain equipment could be another home for this minifigure.
