LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog 2024 set includes obscure character

A 2024 LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set now listed online includes an obscure character, adding to the potential new additions to the theme.

Now listed on price comparison site Brickmerge, 30676 Kiki’s Coconut Attack’s numbering suggests that the model could be a polybag and its name includes a character seen in only a few games.

Kiki is a monkey-based orange Badnik that debuted in Sonic Adventure, returning in the sequel, and later appeared in Sonic Advance games, Sonic Pinball Party as well as three Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games titles. Its most recent appearance was in one version of Sonic Generations in 2011, making it a fairly obscure character in the series.

Provided this listing is accurate, this could be a similar cameo to Cubot in 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot and it seems likely that, as with the other LEGO Badniks, Kiki would be made from pieces rather than receiving a specialised minifigure.

The future of LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog has yet to be confirmed and all information should be taken with caution. However, rumour has it that Kiki won’t be the only new character for the theme in 2024.
