The third Star Wars Jedi game is in development
Cameron Monaghan, who plays Cal Kestis in the first two Star Wars Jedi games has confirmed that a third game in the series is in development.
Speaking at an Ocala Comic Con panel about the game series in Florida, the actor spoke about the current state of the third Star Wars Jedi title, confirming that another game is in the works.
“We’re working on the third and we’re in the process of doing it right now.” shares Monaghan. “So, that’s a big undertaking and there’s been some conversations so far. But hopefully, when all things are said and done, we’ll be able to go in and make something really cool for you guys again.”
Given the ending of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which we won’t detail due to spoilers, a third title is to be expected but this is the first sign that one is coming. The full panel has been shared online by Saix_XIII. Tina Ivlev, who plays Nightsister Merrin in the series, was also present at the panel answering questions.
While this mention may be exciting, we’re likely a long way off from the release of the third game. It’s possible that Monaghan’s comments concern the earliest stages of the game’s development when concepts are still being decided on. Given Monaghan’s intrinsic connection to the series, it would make sense for him to be involved in these discussions. Should anyone know about a third Star Wars Jedi game, the protagonist’s actor is likely a good source.
For now, know that a third Star Wars Jedi game is on the way but don’t expect it to release anytime soon. An official announcement from EA regarding a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel has yet to be detailed.
