LEGO’s space craze could extend to LEGO Ideas thanks to new project

The LEGO Group’s recent craze of space-centric sets could extend once more to LEGO Ideas as another project reaches 10,000 supporters.

CuteHackler036 has joined the 10K club thanks to their The Loneliness of the Voyage – NASA’s Voyager Mission submission, which has now entered the second 2024 LEGO Ideas review round.

The educational and scientific model pays homage to the Voyager mission as it passes planets and continues to be the farthest man-made object from Earth. As well as a brick-built interstellar probe, the contents include a NASA plaque with spacecraft schematics, a miniature model of the Solar System, The Golden Record and display stands

The Golden Record represents the message that Voyager carries which features sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth. This project is the fifth in the second 2024 review so far, though it’s almost certain not to be the last.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
