LEGO Star Wars 2025 set isn’t exactly beloved on LEGO.com
Reviews and ratings for the 2025 sets are appearing on LEGO.com, with one LEGO Star Wars model not faring well thanks to a specific factor.
The LEGO Star Wars January 2025 sets have been available for nearly a week now on the official online store and for the most part, they’re highly rated by customers with most averaging out at around four and a half stars.
One model is notably falling behind though – 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor. The Clone Wars creation may come with two exclusive minifigures, but it’s priced at £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 for 290 pieces.

We noted the high price in our thorough review and it would appear that those shopping on LEGO.com agree that the set’s cost is high compared to the contents. At the time of writing, 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor has a rating of just over two stars on the online store with 21 reviews, half of which give the model two stars.

“It’s just the most overpriced set of all time,” writes MikeBrix. “A roughly 200-300 piece starfighter of this size should be no more than $35. They usually are. I have no idea why this set is so expensive but I advise Star Wars fans to spend their money elsewhere or wait for a heavy discount.”
Many reviews echo this sentiment, with Joshybenj going as far as to write; ” The price is ridiculous and a clear sign Lego has lost its way. Greed now supersedes all and it’s incredibly disappointing to see that ‘only the best is good enough’ has been abandoned for ‘only greed is good enough’.”
Whether you agree with this particular take or not, £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 for 290 pieces and two minifigures is ultimately expensive even for LEGO Star Wars, despite another recent model with similar pricing.
Not every review on the storefront is entirely negative though. Sixwashington4 is more positive, stating; “I hate to promote this over-priced set but it rocks. Absolutely the best Jedi Interceptor to date with excellent minifigures. The ship looks great. I love how R7 fits and that new canopy. At least with this, you feel like you’re getting top quality. Bravo on the set, down with the price!”
Despite the positive reviews, almost all of them agree that the build is overpriced and it will be worth keeping an eye out for sales on this LEGO Star Wars set as 2025 progresses. For those who can’t wait, 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor is out now for £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99.
