New LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary sets revealed
It’s a busy day for LEGO Wars fans as more images of 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV have been revealed alongside the first look at 75379 R2-D2.
Amazon Mexico has added listings for 75379 R2-D2 and 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV, sharing much better images of the latter than we saw earlier today and revealing the rumoured R2-D2 model.
Here’s a look at both sets, with their rumoured information that has yet to be officially confirmed. They were reported to be part of a larger LEGO Star Wars anniversary range, but the other models have yet to be announced at the time of writing and should still be taken with caution.
75379 R2-D2
Rumoured Price: $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,050 Rumoured Release date: March 1, 2024
75379 R2-D2 offers a smaller build than the likes of 75308 R2-D2 and 10225 R2-D2, yet still includes an informative display plaque. It features many of the functions of the larger two models but with less than half the pieces.
The standout feature of this model is undoubtedly going to be the debut minifigure of Darth Malak from Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic, as was previously rumoured. He can be displayed on a stand similar to those featured in models for LEGO Star Wars’ 20th anniversary, complete with the new logo.
75387 Boarding the Tantive IV
Rumoured Price: £49.99 / $54.99 / €54.99 Pieces: 502 Rumoured Release date: March 1, 2024
After its initial reveal at a UK retailer, 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV now has much higher quality images showcasing the full extent of the set. It includes over 500 pieces and seven minifigures, recreating another iconic Star Wars hallway scene following 75324 Dark Trooper Attack.
It too comes with a special anniversary minifigure in the form of Fives complete with cloth pauldrons and printing on the arms.
