LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy brings back most of Darth Jar Jar
Fans can expect to see Darth Jar Jar return in the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past… or at least half of him.
A sequel to last year’s animated LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy will be dropping on Disney+ on September 19, in the shape of an all-new four-part series. LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past continues the story of a mixed up galaxy far, far away, with plenty of existing and fresh characters in the mix.
Back for more brick-built shenanigans will be Gaten Matarazzo’s Sig Greebling, Tony Revolori as Darth Dev and Bobby Moynihan’s Jedi Bob, as well as Ahmed Best lending his vocal talents to the sinister Darth Jar Jar once again. However, fans might be surprised at just how much of the Sith apprentice will actually appear in the series.

In an interview with the official Star Wars website, Ahmed talked about what to expect from the twisted version of the Gungan and how the character relates to the LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy’s latest villain, Dan Stevens’ Solitus.
“You’ll find Darth Jar Jar as half the Sith Gungan he used to be, but 10 times more convinced that he is and will always be the Phantom Menace,” explained Ahmed, potentially hinting at a similar fate that befell Darth Maul in Episode I at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
With a potential Sith-sized hole in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, a new foe rises in the form of Solitus, described by Gaten as being, “just a pure evil force whose main desire is control and order and completely sterilizing the fun that can be brought to the Star Wars universe and also the world of LEGO Star Wars”

That appraisal of the villain is likewise echoed by Ahmed, who describes Solitus as the “big bombad baddie,” suggesting that even Darth Jar Jar may have something to fear from the Duros Sith Lord.
All four episodes of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past will be dropping on Disney+ for subscribers on September 19, 2025.
