LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Pod coming soon

LEGO Star Wars fans can pick up an exclusive Darth Vader pod during December and January, it has been revealed.

Following on from pods released for The LEGO Batman Movie, NEXO KNIGHTS, Friends and The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, comes our first LEGO Star Wars-themed build-in-a-ball.

Packing the most recent minifigure design of Darth Vader, his trusty red lightsaber and a clever mini-build of a door (which looks better than that sentence reads), the Darth Vader Pod will be available as part of a promotion running between December 15, 2017 and January 14, 2018.

This is confirmed at least in the US and Europe, where the store calendar for December/January has been discovered, as Hoth Bricks report. There’s no reason to think that the UK will miss out, mind.

Those looking to get their hands on Vader’s dome should start saving, as it will be available as free with any LEGO Star Wars purchase over $60 or €55, so presumably the UK qualifying spend will be £50.

Given the cost of most Star Wars sets these days, these aren’t hard numbers to reach.

Those of you with a keen eye will notice that this promotion’s start coincides with the US general release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in cinemas – those of us in the UK can see Supreme Leader Snoke revealed to be Mace Windu/Ezra Bridger/Luke Skywalker’s severed hand a whole 24 hours sooner. The LEGO sets based on the upcoming movie are available now.

The store calendar for November/December also teases a few other offers and set releases – more on these when it is officially released.
