LEGO Star Wars Gasgano’s Podracer gift-with-purchase revealed

We’re not quite done with LEGO Star Wars for 2024 yet, as a brand new US-exclusive The Phantom Menace gift-with-purchase is available now.

Gasgano’s Podracer riffs on this year’s 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama with another microscale vehicle, depicted hovering above a small sandy base with a black border and what looks to be a printed brick. It’s the first time the LEGO Star Wars theme has tackled this particular podracer at any scale since 1999’s 7171 Mos Espa Podrace, and completes the microscale trifecta of podracers included in that 25-year-old set.

The others – Anakin’s and Sebulba’s – are included in 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama, which is available to everyone now for £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 from LEGO.com. Gasgano’s is going to be a little harder to get your hands on unless you’re in the US though, as the model is currently available exclusively at Walmart when spending at least $65 on LEGO Star Wars sets.

If you’re reading this from the United States, you can snap up the mini-model by spending at least $65 on LEGO Star Wars sets at Walmart (there’s a list of qualifying products here) before November 12. You’ll then need to take a photo of your in-store receipt (or a screenshot of your online receipt) and upload it at this link or email it to LEGOraceroffer@snippmail.com by November 19.

You won’t get one automatically just by walking into a Walmart or placing an order online, so make sure you’ve followed the rest of the steps to get your hands on Gasgano’s Podracer. According to the terms and conditions, there are only 20,000 copies of Gasgano’s Podracer to go around, so it’s probably a good idea to submit your receipt sooner rather than later.

The rest of us outside of the US will likely have to resort to the aftermarket to complete our LEGO Star Wars 2024 collection now, unless this set – which doesn’t currently have a product number – somehow turns up in other regions. It seems unlikely given this will probably be part of an exclusive partnership with Walmart, though. Check out the complete list of LEGO Star Wars 2024 sets in the table below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

My submission was accepted on Nov. 1 and have yet to receive anything. It isn’t a scam but clearly they have issues getting everyone what they are owed. Wouldn’t do this again unless they had the set in store.

On Reddit, people are saying their submissions have been denied (including mine). I haven’t seen anyone say their submission has been accepted. It’s starting to feel like a scam.
