LEGO Star Wars Han Solo movie Millennium Falcon rumour

A new LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon set is rumoured to be on the way next year to coincide with Han Solo stand alone movie.

Minor spoilers ahead for the Star Wars Han Solo stand alone film.

In news that will surprise absolutely no-one, the LEGO Group is expected to release a new LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon ahead of the release of the Star Wars Han Solo stand alone movie.

Making Star Wars has information on what the iconic ship will look like in the movie, which is very different to what fans are accustomed to.

The Falcon is brand new and owned by Lando in the untitled Han Solo film. It has blue detailing all over it with a white base coat of paint. The other interesting detail is that we finally see the Falcon doing what it is supposed to do with cargo. Basically there’s an attachment that hooks into the front of the ship’s front “forks” and that elongates the front of the ship. It looks seamless but can also detached to drop a shipment of spice if Imperial entanglements get too complicated. The center of the ship allows for access to the cargo.

The article suggests that the look of the ship is similar to the above image, a piece of concept art that was designed for Revenge of the Sith.

The untitled Han Solo stand alone film will be released on May 25, 2018. The LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75192 Millennium Falcon is the largest LEGO set ever released, with a special midnight launch planned for when it goes on sale on September 14.
