LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian rumours could hint at returning character

Rumours for a LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian pirate set could be hinting at the return of a Clone Wars character.

According to a recent report, LEGO Star Wars could be getting a model named 75346 Pirate Snubfighter in 2023. When it comes to pirates in a galaxy far, far away, there’s one character that may come to mind.

In recent Disney+ Star Wars shows there is a track record of referencing Clone Wars and Rebels content and bringing characters from those series to life in live action.

These include Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian season 2 and Sabine Wren in the upcoming Ahsoka series. Both series featured the infamous pirate Hondo Ohnaka, though in later years his career become a bit more legitimate.

During the era of the First Order and the Resistance, Hondo had set up a trading company on Batuu, but The Mandalorian takes place a bit before this era, leaving time for a little more pirate-based activities for Hondo Ohnaka.

With rumours of a LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian set referencing pirates, the series may feature the return of Hondo Ohnaka as recent Disney+ Star Wars shows have done for The Clone Wars and Rebels content. Provided Hondo has a chance at featuring in The Mandalorian, the character already has a minifigure design from 2009’s 7753 Pirate Tank ready to amend accordingly.

While these rumours have yet to be confirmed, Promobricks have been accurate in the past. However, that’s not to say that these set names, if true, are accurate to the story of The Mandalorian’s third season so take all information with caution.
