LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga offers improved camera angle
An overhauled camera angle in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, could make for a much more dynamic gaming experience.
With LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga having been in development since 2017, TT Games has spent that time adding many new features to the game. As well as a sprawling galaxy to explore and over 300 characters to unlock, The Skywalker Saga also features a much-improved camera angle.
When playing most TT Games’ LEGO titles, your character isn’t that close up to the screen. However, in The Skywalker Saga the developer has opted for a much tighter third person view, which should make for a much more intense gaming experience.
The in-game camera is no longer locked at one angle and even zooms in closer during blaster battles for increased accuracy when aiming. This feature was first introduced in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens but looks to have been improved upon in The Skywalker Saga, with stud multiplier bonuses being awarded the more shots you land on target. Whilst The Force Awakens also gave you no choice but to take cover when under enemy fire, it looks like in The Skywalker Saga it’s more of an option, with LEGO barriers that can be built and then used for cover before returning fire.
We’re definitely looking forward to getting our hands on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and giving the new game engine a real workout when it’s released on April 5.

I hate the new camera angles, and get too close to the Stormtroopers and end up getting shot.
Moreover, there seems to be no way to change the camera work, meaning that the game is unplayable.
This game sucks.
