LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Twitter account confirms new release date

The Twitter account for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has finally been updated to reflect the video game’s previously-announced delay beyond spring 2021.

@LSWGame’s bio now reads ‘Coming Soon’, echoing TT Games’ earlier statement that the heavily-anticipated title has been pushed back indefinitely. The studio announced the delay on April 2, but it’s basically been business as usual since then – which is to say that we’ve heard absolutely nothing else on the status of the game.

Given May the Fourth passed without so much as a single new screenshot from LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the next time we’re likely to learn anything new – whether it’s a final, firm release date or even just more details on the gameplay, levels or characters – will be at this year’s virtual E3 event, which kicks off on June 12.

Lucasfilm Games and TT Games have both recently followed the official E3 account on Twitter, suggesting both will be in attendance at the video game expo. We’ll keep you posted on any and all updates on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a game that we’re convinced definitely still exists. Probably.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
