LEGO Store Milton Keynes gets a re-furb and re-opening

The UK’s original LEGO Store has closed for one month while a refurbishment takes place ahead of a grand re-opening.

Milton Keynes was the first place in the UK to get a LEGO Brand Store, before the explosion of the shops around the world. Going back just a decade, Milton Keynes was still one of only three British LEGO Stores. Now, the brand stores are much more prevalent and consistent in style.

Presumably to bring the LEGO Store Milton Keynes up to these current standards, the store has closed for one month for improvements. A social media post confirms that the doors will open back up on October 4.

To celebrate the re-opening, there will be three days of activity from Thursday, October 4 until Sunday, October 7. Each day, the first 100 customers will get a free LEGO goody bag with a spend of £15 or more. Additionally, the exclusive set 40145 LEGO Store will be free to customers spending £125 or more. Typically during opening events, there is a limited number of sets available each day.

In the meantime, fans are encouraged to make use of shop.LEGO.com as they wait for their new-look LEGO Store to welcome them back in a few weeks’ time.
