LEGO Stores hosting free Coronation Crown make and take event

Visitors to LEGO stores next month will be able to participate in a special make and take event, with a free Coronation Crown build up for grabs.

The coronation of King Charles III will be taking place on May 6, 2023, with millions around the world tuning in to watch the royal event. The momentous occasion will be playing out at Westminster Abbey on that date and will be followed in the UK by an additional public holiday planned for May 8.

To celebrate the festivities, LEGO Stores in the country will be hosting a special make and take event scheduled to run on May 6 and then again on May 8 from 12.00pm to 2pm. Visitors to their local stores on either of those dates can pick up a free LEGO Coronation Crown and either construct it there and then or build it at home later. A limited quantity of the promotional sets will be available on each day, with one model per person on a first come first served basis, while stocks last.

The Coronation Crown make and take event also coincides with this year’s LEGO Star Wars Day, which looks to be running from May 1 to May 7. Those who do pop into their local store locations on May 6 will be able to take advantage of double VIP points on all LEGO Star Wars sets and grab up to two free GWP items. The spending threshold and specific dates for the latter promotions have yet to be officially confirmed, but be sure to keep an eye on our dedicated May the 4th page to find out more.
