LEGO Super Mario app available to download

Anyone who finds the LEGO Super Mario sets a few days early will be able to play with them, as the associated app is now available to download.

LEGO Super Mario is launching on August 1 and to use the sets fans will need the companion app. It updates the interactive Mario figure and provides all of the building instructions for the sets. Without it, there’s not a lot to do other than free build.

The LEGO Super Mario app is available to download for Android, iOS and Fire iOS devices.

71360 Adventures with Mario Starter Course includes the Super Mario figure, which activates not just this model but all of the other sets in the theme too. Each time a collector gets a new set, a character is built and scanned using Mario, which adds the set to the app. The app then knows all of the sets in a user’s collection.

As well as showing how to build the sets, the app provides tutorials on what Mario needs to do with the levels. When the character does complete a circuit, it provides a coin breakdown – revealing how many points he earned for doing what.
